Deposits are non‑refundable for no‑shows or cancellations made after the 21‑day window.* **How far in advance should I book?** We prefer bookings at least 45 days out to allow plenty of time for planning and preparation. However, we can accommodate reservations up to a year in advance—perfect for groups who like to plan ahead. **Is the property truly private?** Absolutely. We’re tucked into a very rural area of Chase, MI, with few neighbors and lots of land. As long as you can’t see the road, no one can see you. You’ll have the entire space to yourselves—no other guests, no shared spaces. **Can I visit before booking?** Yes! I’d be happy to schedule a visit liaison appointment. We’ll walk the property together, talk through your vision, and make sure The Lair feels like the right fit for your group. We offer a large teepee gathering space that provides a dry, cozy spot for your group to gather if needed. **What’s your cancellation policy?** Cancellations more than 60 days out can transfer the deposit to a future booking.
